Sadly I was actually one of the satisfied users of this (after much perseverance) until a recent PC hardware failure necessitated a new board, cpu and a reinstallation of everything.
Since then it has run poorly, crashed regularly, has trouble performing even basic tasks and is generally unuseable. I'm a bit surprised with this as the graphics subsytem is unchanged (Radeo 9700 Pro) but I will keep persevering until I get it right.
In fairness it at least runs which is more than can be said for my newly upgraded Cyberlink Power Director 4 - it won't even start and doesn't report any errors either so tracking that problem down will be fun. It's companion product Power Producer works fine but it limited in what it can do.
In the interim I'm using the ever reliable Womble product MPEG Video Wizard to get my editing doen while burning heaps of midnight oil debugging software that should be mature enough by V9 to run.
If it didn't have a nice intuitive interface, a handy feature set and plenty of flexibility there is no way I would be bothering. For the lucky few it works for I have one piece of advice - change NOTHING. To the rest of us maybe we just have to wait for the next patch.
