I tried to cut commercials out of my Hauppauge PVR 350 captures with both nanoEdit and MPEG-VCR. nanoEdit was inaccurate and gave audio sync problems when trying to merge files. MPEG-VCR always gave audio sync problems. The greater the number of cuts, the worse the problem. I have now processed well over 15 hours of captures with Video Redo and have perfect results. I have cut commercials and merged files with frame accuracy and no sync problems, then burned the result with Ulead MF 3. The more I use it, the more I like it. I only have a slight issue with the price - $50 strikes me as being a little high for the simple tasks I want to perform. Then again, as the previous poster mentioned, it is rare to find PC software that actually works and is well supported. And it is cheaper than MPEG-VCR which didn't work for me. |
