I have had this software for some years. I originally purchased it to use with a matrox g400 marvel. I have also used it to capture dv (dazzle hollywood dv bridge and canopus advc-100). Note: I also own a copy of the mainconcept dv codec.) Under windows 2000 AVI_IO works great. I have not been able to capture DV video with AVI_IO under XP Pro nor have I found anyone else who has claims this functionality. The two features I like most about it are 1) captures can span drives and 2) the timer. The Cons: 1) cannot capture dv under XP and 2) Support and updates leave much to be desired. |
