I had an excellent NTSC DVD horror classic which I wanted to convert, because the blu ray release was dnr'ed to death, so I didn't buy that. I managed to ivtc the dvd, but tried everything even old software like Avi.NET, AutoGK to convert to xvid and a few others e.g Fairuse Wizard etc to H264 format.
All left annoying combing artifacts. In the end I found an older version of Handbrake on an 'antique' XP based laptop. Set detelecine and decomb to auto, Deinterlace to off and my DVD came out perfect. Old stuff is the best. |
