This software really isn't that bad. Plenty of nice features in a slick, FREE package. This is obviously Microsoft's rip-off of the venerable iMovie, but if you run Windows (and I do) and you don't want to or can't pay for a stronger video editing package, this is a decent choice. I'd use it myself for the simple task of editing, however there's this annoying bug that occurs on at least my computer that causes Movie Maker to shut down without warning or subsequent error notification every time I attempt to add titles to a video. Very strange. Based on my experience, my ratings should be lower, but I'll give Microsoft the benefit of the doubt that this isn't a widespread problem. |
