Chowmein, the reason for the two branches is because DVDFab did a very big overhaul of the product. The UI and underlying code changes are significant. The older version 8 branch is bug-fixed as needed and newer protections support is added as needed. The newer version 9 branch is effectively a work-in-progress with MANY MANY bug-fixes occurring in each update. So, version 8 is more stable and version 9 is newer, shinier, and more buggy. |
