After reading a few reports on this tool I thought I should record my findings. I have to say that I thought it was excellent for a beginner moving into editing software. I have not as yet encountered any faults that have been recorded (it may of crashed once but then what software doesn't!) Basically I found it very easy to use and ended up with a couple of very good DVD's.
I must say though that now I have been using it for a while I am starting to look for some more advanced features elsewhere, particularly with sound functionality and special effects / transitions. There is only so many times you can flip over a page or use the screen break up function. I would like to see MS release a few additional features.
To be honest though that is not what this tool is about, this is about beginners being able to easily convert DV to AVI / WMV and end up with a good looking video / DVD. Very good tool and great fun to use. |
