I purchased Fraps a couple of years ago and used it as my gaming recorder until I came across and purchased Dxtory. Dxtory has tons of options compared to Fraps which has very limited custom options. For me is much more stable with no audio/video sync issues that Fraps has produced in the past 5 or 6 releases.
By using either the lossless Ut Video codec or the lossless Lagarith codec you will have superb recording quality.
$45 is a SMALL price to pay for SUPERB recording quality with FREE lifetime updates!
