Good and fast program. Uses old ffmpeg, but if you replace it with a new version from zeranoe site, seems to work too.

If you remux/repack from one container to another, you need to take into considerations that some of them go well/better/worse with specific audio and video codec (it's good to familiarise yourself with the specification of a container you want to use). And if you remux mp4/mkv with h.264/avc video and aac audio to for example avi, it might not work properly. Some software players on your computer could still play it depending on splitter/decoders it uses, but you'll be less lucky, when playing the file on your hardware player/TV set. It may need to be not only remuxed to different container, but recoded to different audio and video codec inside that container.

So it actually could be a good idea to add a warning (but without blocking it completely), when somebody wants to do such "unusual" remux.

Attempted to change mp4 & mkv to a avi result audio but no video didn't bother with any other formats.

What a tool.. what a tool.. Excellent rated 9 but 10 to you and me ;) Been using it for a few years never used anything else since.

Needs to allow subs to pass through and other little tweaks adding. That said it can work with ffmpeg commands if you know them. Has the ability to use any ffmpeg version thankfully since that is very need for many reasons.

Try it you won't want to use any other tool to do this.

That said MKVToonix is also another good tool. What you cannot do with both of these tools. For working with various formats and the containers we choose to contain them in.

I tried to convert an MP4 to AVI, WMV and MPEG and none of the conversions worked at default settings. I also did not get any warnings. When I looked at the logs after the attempted conversion to AVI, it said the mp4 framerate (29.97) did not match the AVI container framerate (59.94)? Anyhow, I ended up with a converted video that had a black screen with sound. I gave it all 5s because it worked about 1/2 the time. This one is not for me.

Just the thing I have been looking for. Changed AVI container to MKV to easier manipulate the file. Worked Perfectly. And Portable on top of that. THX!:)

Needed to change container for WMV video in AVI, whilst preserving WMAPro sound, to WMV for compatability purposes. Worked perfectly. A useful addition to my tool box.

Rather surprised that some months after release no other ratings or comments here
