This is very useful for making bootable pc cd's and dvd's however it doesn't know how to organise data files to run as a standard non protected dvd disc. Another program by nero can actually re organise a non 1:1 dvd clone to burn and play as intended dvd discs do on standard legacy dvd home players.
Such functionality should be employed as non protected discs are mostly home made private ones whos owners seek to preserve their legacy.
Most modern DVD players for home theatre entertainment can now play non 1:1 cloned dvd copies but still there are so many that can't.
Data on discs isn't always alpha numerical in playing the data itself needs to be placed professionally in the right locations to be found by their intended devices.

Essentially a good CD/DVD image soft.

Note: It stated "May directly set the file/folder to hidden attribute" on its web page. It provides interface of that, however, when the image saved or burnt to disc, all hidden attributes you set are gone and nothing hidden at all in your disc. I don't know if this is a bug or undone function.

Superb tool for extracting files from scratched CDs and DVDs. Very much faster than IsoBuster. Took less than 2 hours to get all the files off a badly scratched dual layer movie DVD. The files are playable except for few seconds of glitches here and there and the audio remains synced after the glitches. DVD Shrink could not even read the DVD. RipIt4Me could rip about 4300 KB out of the 7600 KB-rest were blank cells deleted later during the processing.
IsoBuster could not read a VCD which had become jammed in a drawer and developed spider's web like cracks all over. UltraIso extracted all the video files in less than five minutes.
Highly recommended for this specific purpose.

First off, UltraIso's pros are not video related. If you like to organize your project with a widely used format, because it is easy to mount or to burn onto CD / DVD, you will love UltraIso.
Create ISO-images from DVD/CD-ROM or any harddisc contents. UltraIso can edit Images of the most popular burning software. Converted to the international standard ISO 9660 you can burn the new image with DVD Decrypter :) or any burning software. You can also check the image before burning, simply mount the image (windows users need a virtual CD/DVD-ROM drive like Deamon-Tools).
If you want to add some files to a new authored Video-DVD (I like to add the cover), load the *.iso, that you have created with dvdauthor or imagetool, add any files, save. That's all.
Extract boot images from bootable CD-ROM, create bootable images.
Of course, there are a couple of free command line tools, that do the same job for free, but if you like to have an intuitive GUI, UltraIso is the software, that you have searched for.
Yes, there are some cons of course. If you delete some files from an image, save it as a new file, because UltraIso does not delete the file but change the TOC only, I think. Also I had problems with some multisession discs like some so-called copy-protected audio-CD.
Well, the authors of UltraIso offer free updates for a lifetime and free email support.
So UltraIso is still not perfect but definitely worth the 30 bucks.

I have to give this low marks because it could not do what I wanted it to do. I tried to edit inside a DVD ISO to add a JACKET_P folder, but the modified ISO would not play in my standalone player when burnt to disc. I have narrowed it down to this program as the reason. It seems to be geared more towards CD image files and isn't the best for DVDs. Value for money is low because, while being a professional package which is well made, you don't really need this. I can't think of any uses for it especially if DVD-video ISO's are unplayable. You could just as easily mount the ISO on a virtual drive, copy the files to disc and create a new image with ImgTools. ISObuster will rip ISO's for free. It's no good for getting around copy protected games either, for that you need Alcohol or CloneCD. Bottom line: you are better off using other tools which are cheap or free.
