Superb tool for extracting files from scratched CDs and DVDs. Very much faster than IsoBuster. Took less than 2 hours to get all the files off a badly scratched dual layer movie DVD. The files are playable except for few seconds of glitches here and there and the audio remains synced after the glitches. DVD Shrink could not even read the DVD. RipIt4Me could rip about 4300 KB out of the 7600 KB-rest were blank cells deleted later during the processing.
IsoBuster could not read a VCD which had become jammed in a drawer and developed spider's web like cracks all over. UltraIso extracted all the video files in less than five minutes.
Highly recommended for this specific purpose. |
