In short, I couldn't get it to work on my MAC.

It cost $39.99.

Their IT guy offered to troubleshoot it. I said, "Fine". But since I have other things to do besides troubleshoot software, it took me several days to figure out that my correspondence with him was taking place on a support page buried somewhere on their website.

The IT guy tried and failed to access my desktop.

Then I was asked to download several additional programs including: SoundFlower, Blackhole, VLC, and LMI Rescue.

None of these helped.

I received and ignored several phone calls from the Philippines, because, well, I don't know anyone from the Philippines.

Turns out, it was the IT guy. So I foolishly returned the call and spoke to Video Capture Replay IT guy for about 10 minutes— which did not yield any results.

When I hung up, I received immediately a text message from T Mobile informing me that my phone call with the Philippino troubleshooter cost me $72.

So at this point, my investment in this product that even the company's own IT department can get to work, is $111.99. (That doesn't include of course the hours of time I spent trying to figure out to use the damn thing).

That's when my new Philippino friend sent me a link to download "Blackhole" along with these instructions:

"Hi ,

We have found a replacement process called Blackhole that is compatible with Big Sur (and older Mac OS's) and our testing has shown it works well. For now we have come up with a manual workaround to get installed and configured for users. We will look to integrate it with our installers sometime in the near future to make it out-of-the-box ready.

Installation and setup instructions:
Go to: https://existential.audio/ blackhole/
Enter in details and press the 'Subscribe for Free Mac Download' button
Wait for email to be received (see notes regarding email on the page)
Use the code in the email to access the installer download page
Click the 'BlackHole 2ch v0.2.8' download button
Run the downloaded installer and go through the installation process
Run: Audio MIDI Setup
Press the + button in the bottom-left and select 'Create Multi-Output Device'
This will create a new Multi-Output Device which will appear in the device list down the side, and will be automatically selected
Tick 'BlackHole 2ch' ON in the 'Use' column to the left
Built-in Output should already be ticked ON
Use the 'Master Device:' selector to toggle between the two devices and ensure that both have the 'Sample Rate:' selector set to '44.1kHz' - manually change if needed
Replay Video Capture configuration and recording:
Play a test video that includes audio
Run: Replay Video Capture
Open (starting from the top-left menu): Replay Video Capture > Preferences > Advanced
Set the 'Select audio device when recording' selector to 'BlackHole 2ch'
Close the Preferences window and prepare a recording using any of the modes, but do not start the recording
If using Region or Full Screen mode ensure that the 'Audio' selector is set to 'BlackHole 2ch' - manually change if needed
Run: System Preferences
Open: Sound > Output
Select 'Multi-Output Device' from the list
If there are more than one Multi-Output Devices then it should be the latest one (highest numbered)
Start the recording in Replay Video Capture
Audio should be present from the speakers during recording
Stop the recording after a reasonable amount of time and test the recorded file
The recorded file should contain audio and be in sync etc.
Once recording is completed and Replay Video Capture is no longer in use, revert the selected device to 'Internal Speakers' (or any other preferred speakers/output device) in the System Preferences > Sound > Output list"

That was the last straw.

I requested a refund.

And am stuck with a $72 phone bill and five wasted days of frustration.

Excellent program.
Worked great for capping netflix streaming video.
The only problem i had was i could not get it to capture audio with my creative audigy 4 sound card under W7 64bit, but i tried it on my other PC with onboard sound with VISTA 64bit and it worked perfectly.
I tried every setting it has but could not get it to work with my addon soundcard.
