Although it's not compatible with a lot of possible inputs, it supports the major ones, and it's incredibly easy to configure and batch encode videos.
Drop the files in, select the output and press start.

What an awesome video encoder GUI. It supports video encoding in RV10, x264, Snow, and DivX; On the audio side it encodes in MP3(8-128kbps), Vorbis(8-64kbps), AAC(96-192kbps), AAC+(32-64kbp), and AAC+ v2(16-64kbps). Container features MKV, MP4, and RMVB in limited codecs restriction (1 video stream,RV10; 1 audio stream, AAC+ for the RMVB container).

The only downsides for this software are that the slight limited encoding options and the source video must contain mp3 Audio stream to begin with (due the Besweet Errors). But it's definitely recommanded for beginners that would like to shrink their video.
