AnyDVD HD is a Windows based application that removes restrictions of DVD, UHD and Blu-ray media automatically in the background. AnyDVD HD works in the background to automatically and transparently enable read access of the contents of a movie DVD or Blu-ray as soon as it's inserted into the drive. The DVD/Blu-ray will become useable to your windows operating system and all programs on your computer, such as DVD/Blu-ray backup software like CloneDVD, CloneBD and others, then supporting any DVD or Blu-ray. AnyDVD HD optionally disables region codes, thereby making the movie region free and comfortably viewable on any DVD/Blu-ray player and with any DVD/Blu-ray playback software. Lifetime updates costs $115 or else it's 1 year updates for $60.

All features

AnyDVD HD is capable of disabling unwanted movie features such as forced subtitles, forced delays, and no-skip marks, giving you full control over your movie experience. It also allows you to launch an external application whenever you insert or remove a disc, and prevents unwanted software from automatically launching when you insert a video DVD.

You can control the drive speed of your DVD drive, allowing you to reduce the noise level when watching movies on your PC. You can even adjust the display frequency of your monitor for both NTSC and PAL displays.

AnyDVD HD doesn't just stop at DVD's or Blu-ray's, it also fixes audio cd's to allow you to play and use them.

AnyDVD HD allows you to watch Blu-ray movies over a digital display connection, without a HDCP-compliant graphics card and without a HDCP-compliant display. No need to buy an expensive monitor. Sweet!

AnyDVD HD is the must-have utility for the serious home theater enthusiast.

Great software, but a rip off as said before. I use the trial with lovely little program CloneAD or PGC.NET ripper on DVDs it can't handle. Dvddecrypter works great with it too!

[Overall Score for AnyDVD-HD, not Pincat's post. See my prior posts for why. The program itself is great!] Thanks Pincat for the info. I did "DuckDuckGo" (I'm a "never Google'er") the term and found several articles that confirm your statement. However I still don't trust the company that took over the software [FoxPro] after SlySoft's demise. Y'all use this tool from FoxPro with caution!

@spinr: The "BUDA" folders are usually created by certain media devices which are capable of accessing BD-Live content like TVs or BluRay players. These folders will be created automatically if not already there and then used for trailers, announcements or whatever is being downloaded via the live feature. Kind of annoying, but nothing to worry about.

UPDATED Review [See my original review below] April '20:

I set up an install of Win10 in a virtual machine [sandboxed] because I was suspicious the RedFox versions of AnyDVD-HD may contain Trojan code. I am now convinced it does [will explain below]. My virtual machine of Win10 is restricted from network/internet access. I managed to get my first RedFox version re-installed [found backup copy of install keys. See my prior review of description of first update attempt, never tried again].

I've transcoded most Disc rips to mp4 files with Handbrake for use on my tablet or phone (mobile use). This is the primary reason I purchased AnyDVD-HD, to use my legitimately purchased content as I see fit without restriction [fair use]. I own all content I've ripped on DVD/Blu-ray, I have not sold or given ripped content away. That is illegal!

Why I have (at least anecdotal) evidence of Trojan activity is due to the mobile media I've copied my mp4 files onto. I use thumb drives to attach to my tablet for mobile viewing. I'm having issues with accessing the media files on these thumb drives (formatted at FAT32). Also I've noticed a strange subfolder show up that I know I never created, titled "\buda". They seem to appear when I attach the thumb drive to the Win10 virtual machine (where I have AnyDVD-HD installed), even after deleting them. I don't think I am infecting my tablet because it is not a Windows based OS. However I will not attach any of these thumb drives to a Windows OS based PC until I reformat them for fear of infecting the Windows install.

If anyone else has experienced strange behavior from removable media in this way, or other strange behavior with the RedFox versions of AnyDVD-HD please report it here...

The 1st mistake Redfox did was to use Slysofts program name. Especially since they apparently had no intention of honoring previous licenses. They should of made that clear and most of the problems wouldn't of been. Two companies, two somewhat different software packages.
There are more comments here about the battle between the two companies than anything else
