  1. Hi,

I've downloaded some .avi movies that were ripped from a dvd. When I played them on Real or Windows Media Player, I can see the video but no sound. However, when I played them on Media Player Classic, there are video and sound. But when I tried to burn them as vcd on CD-R, there's still no audio.

    Please help!

How did you make your VCD? What does Gspot say about the audio in your file?

    I'm with him

Can you post a screen dump of your file in GSpot ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

  4. Open the file with GSpot and press ALT-PrtScn (print screen). Paste it into Paint and save as a JPEG. Post it up here - if you don't know how, Jim has explained here:

It should give us the information we need to act.

    Cobra,

Good work in using my example

... but how did you remember it ? Have you got it bookmarked ?

I'm both extremely humbled and extremely worried at the same time
    If in doubt, Google it.

Am I the only one with a problem with this line?

    Buy the dvd
    It could be a public-domain DVD ...

    It could be someone's home-made DVD ...
    If in doubt, Google it.

  10. Hi,

I tried to burn the vcd with Nero. So i've opened up the file with GSpot, and here's the print screen.

    thanks
