I tried using these leaddata discs that i got from pc club before. and the first batch that i got worked out great. They had burned at 2x on my dvr-104 without any problems at all. Its wierd. certain batches would burn at 2x without any firmware changes but another certain batch would need a hacked firmware update to burn at 2x.. anyways after updatin the firmware. all burned fine at 2x. please keep in mind that the discs i got had silver shiny tops. 3 months later i got a batch with white tops that were inkjet printable... these were very very troublesome. the dye had some discoloration in them. and usually at the end of the disc.. there would be alot of video distortion. dont buy these discs.. horrible trash.... i'd put out the extra money for some better quality media than have distorted video. what a drag.

So far ripped and burned a movie with no problems. This media was the cheapest at FRY's electronics and reads as Leaddata01.

It burned at 8X with nec2500a using herries latest firmware.
