We were playing around with our DVD after learning about country codes and we got this far. We have no non-US coded DVDs to test on this player now. We are ordering one. This seems to offer the option of changing country codes as you need them with no damage to your DVD player. Please give us feedback when you try this. Step One: Turn power on Step Two: On the front of the DVD player on the lower right hand corner is a button that reads- HOME MENU / Press it Step Three: Scroll to INITIAL SETTINGS box on screen and push ENTER Step Four: Scroll to the OPTIONS box on screen Step Five: Scroll to PARENTAL LOCK ON US box on screen Step Six: Scroll to PASSWORD box on screen Step Seven: Make your own four digit password/example:9999 and push ENTER Step Eight: Scroll to COUNTRY CODE and change as needed depending on the DVD you have. Here is the link for the Pioneer users manual. The code list for countries is on pages 22 & 23.
