The hack above works just fine with me. However when enter the 1369 nothing appears on the screen, just keep entering the 0 and close the tray, you are set; Tested with region 1 & 3. Also hooked with VCR seems the macrovision is off. Great unit! | |||

I tried the 1-3-6-9 hack on my 2028, and the macrovision is still ENABLED. I don't have any non-US DVDs to test if it's now region-free, but the macrovision is definitely still active. Possibly there is mutliple versions on teh firmware (my unit has a November 2002 inventory tag). | |||
