MediaTek MT1369, MT1379 and MT1389 chipset players
Multiregion hacks

Overview

This page lists the most popular remote control "hack" sequences which enable owners to change the factory region code setting to either another region, or to all-region playback. This list only relates to those DVD players which have a MediaTek MT1369, MT1379 or MT1389 chipset installed.

(To check your player's chipset see our advice page here - coming soon).

Please note that this list is not exhaustive, and lists those hacks which are known to work on at least one player, if not more.

The hacks are divided into three categories :

those featuring a "1369" number sequence in the hack (generally MT1369 players) - click here
those featuring a "1379" number sequence in the hack (generally MT1379 players) - click here
other sequences - click here

For a 5-page printable list of all of these hacks, which gives the information in black type on a white background with an instruction button to print the page, please click here.

Forget all those hacks (above) posted by whatyouneed
in the first posting here (sorry)
Here is the hack that Bellagio's technical support
provides you with - I know it works, just used it on my
own Bellgio DVD player last night:

Switch player on and open door. Then key in
4377340. That's all and your player will be country code
free

OTHER INFORMATION:
The player has a Mediatek MT1389DE chip
I've also found a great site giving you all the information
you could possibly need (in German) on this player:
http://www.movie-player.de/modules.php?name=News
&file=article&sid=109

To update the firmware go to
http://www.bellagio-home.com/index_f.html and read
what the firm has to say, apparently the new firmware
solves some DivX issues. Or download the update
directly here:

BTW The player is currently available in Germany at
Media Markt for only Euro 55! Hard to beat
