I'm sure for what it's intended (iPods) this would get a 10/10 for ease of use (and therefor overall score too). The thing is, it's capable of so much more than just iPod conversions. I had to fiddle to get outputs that work with my iAudio, but when i finally figured it out i was very pleased. The help info is useful - but moreso for people who have some idea what they're doing - not me :). What would have been great is a place somewhere with peoples personal custom successes. From what i can gather, there is no forum to share (there is a blog page, but it's not very 'community'). My suggestion to the author is to have a page on his site where people can submit their custom configuration settings for non-iPod gear. That way, he needn't change anything in his program (except maybe a link to that page), it's just public information for all. It would have saved me a lot of time if someone out there had already succeeded. I'm a big fan of software that doesn't have to install and this works great. Great program - i tried many. Some didn't work, most were bloat. For what it's worth, i posted my settings that got this great tool to produce videos ok for iAudio 9 on the author's blog: http://nodadev.wordpress.com/pc-projects/ipodme/ Size: 320×240 Profile: Custom > More Options Video Options… Encoder: Xvid Profile: Good Quality Mode: Average Bitrate Bitrate: 500 (this will autoset when ‘good quality’ is chosen) Aspect: 16:9 Deinterlace: Off Audio Options… Resample audio track: On (optional – it worked with or without the resampling) Freq: 44100 Bitrate: 160 Additional Parameters… -acodec libmp3lame -f avi Lastly, rename the file as *.avi and viola!

This latest version will let you choose 1280 x 720 output. This will make quick and easy encode that YouTube will like. Very simple to use, fast and gives decent quality. I wish it would let you select a higher ABR rate. CQ set to 18 gives good quality. I normally encode YT vids with Virtualdub + x264_VFW with excellent results. This tool makes it much more simpler for when I'm in a hurry.

Great little app for converting videos for your iphone. Tried some strange aspect ratio videos and all turned out correct. It is very fast too and the output video looks great.

Just tried this app for the 1st time today. It produced excellent quality clips for my Sansa View player. It's free, does not need to be installed, it's also very fast and can import Avisynth Scripts. What more could anyone want? Excellent...............
