Useful tool, works very well for what it is capable of doing.
I found that it does not seem to have the ability to allow the user to manually select the *profile* level ( example....3.1..4.1..5.1 etc, etc), while I was using the program it was locked onto 3.1, I wanted to use 4.1.
The biggest disappointment has to be the incredibly slow speed. I was re-encoding two relatively small 2.5 gig files that were each 1/2 of a 3 hour movie... a two part movie that I was joining together. I just had to alter the bitrate for both halves to match each other so they would join together in mkvmerge without any issue. Handbrake took more than 16 hours to re-encode EACH file. Terribly slow. It did the job, but, terribly slow. |
