It seems to me that some of the new versions have been getting more and more buggy. The current version has one problem where it crashes on the second pass of a two-pass encoding task. At least that's what it does to me when I try to use the XviD codec. IDK about the other codecs, though. It also crashes if you try to use the deblocking filter.
But at least you can do some post processing now. A few verions ago, there was no way you were ever going to even resize the video without crashing. I'm sure all of the current bugs will be fixed eventually. After all, Sebastian Dorfler is awesome!!!
Also, usually bugs are fixed faster than they have been recently, although I'm sure Sebastian has some good reason for taking so much longer (such as being busy with something else, or maybe he's having trouble finding the cause of the bugs or something). That's why I still rated this program so high. |
