Handbrake is one of the less buggy and glitchy free software to make x264 videos.
I use MeGUI too. Other software that is worth mentioning here is SUPER and StaxRip. They all can do something other tools cannot do.
Wishlist for Handbrake: more friendly batch processing, custom fps selection, he-aac encoding.
All in all it's a great reliable tool that does its job, has clear understandable interface and doesn't feel buggy. At least it doesn't crash or produce corrupted out of sync videos like some other free tools tend to make without extensive tuning and tinkering. |
