easy to use, once you can get it set up. set up is difficult, to say the least, and requires a very bloated download from micro$oft website in order to even install this thing! this was a major turnoff for me. also, its file conversion is extremely limited, almost to the point of being crippling. the only supported video formats this program is able to convert to are mp4 and mkv! no avi, no mpeg, just the aforementioned proprietary PITA .mp4 and .mkv, which have very limited use and require proprietary software to play (ex Apple Quicktime Player). does not play nice with ffdshow either. its free, so that is good, i just hope the programmers make it a little more versatile in future versions, such as not having to install microsoft software prior to the install, and making it possible to encode to non-esoteric, standardized, user-friendly, open and well accepted file formats such as mpg and avi. would not recommend, unless you have some sort of a fetish for mp4 and/or mkv. |
