I recently tried discovering the best way to convert Blu-Ray M2TS files to MP4 files that can be played on a PSP. The 64bit Win7 machine I was using experienced issues with a number of different tools. In the past, I used MeGui extensively for converting DVDs, but I had too many issues with the M2TS conversion. Plus, I wasn't thirilled about having to install all these different tools and "hacks" to get around the Directshow issues in Windows 7. Aside from MeGui, I tried XVid4PSP, Ripbot264, and some others. Handbrake, by far, is the best of the pack. It converted my desired Blu-Rays in less than 2 hours time with exceptional quality and perfectly in-sync audio. The only thing I did not like about Handbrake was the fact that a lot of device profiles were not present, which did exist in prior versions. However, by using the Apple Universal profile, and changing the desired aspect ratio, it worked just fine. All-in-all, a fantastic tool. |
