Of all the various tools I have tried for creating photo DVDs this one seems to be the most complete. DVD Slideshow GUI does not even compare. The thumbnails load very quickly (especially compared to every other tool I looked at). This tool allows using multiple sound files instead of one big sound file which must be created with some other tool. Plenty of transitions and generally a clean interface. There are still a few areas which need to be polished. The ffmpeg tool it uses crashes frequently and there is something wrong with the shutter transition. At the very least this tool will create a temp.avs script with all the transitions, image files, sound files, etc. in it which can then be loaded into VirtualDub and used to generate the video (I use this method when ffmpeg continues to crash). Get the shutter transition and ffmpeg problems fixed and this tool will be awesome. |
