Pinnacle Studio Deluxe (Windows XP) capturing software is garbage. To capture correctly analog sound using Pinnacle hardware you have to use third party software (e.g. Scenalyzer, which does a good job). I am in process of thinking to return their whole package ($300 Studio Deluxe) and to sue them, or just to pay for non trial version of Scenalyzer Live. How come a small guy can write correct capturing software and big company is not able to find resources to fix its? They have ton of money to buy competition (Dazle and others), but are unable to provide correct capturing software for Windows XP. It took them more than year to release patch 8.8.17 which at least enabled users to see analog capture source on Windows XP. But the box has been saying "XP compatible" since XP was released. I have not found a single person that can capture correctly sound from analog source using their Studio Deluxe hardware and latest patches (as of Oct 05 2003). And if you ask for help not only you do not get any of it, but they confuse you and you spend weeks or months trying to fix your computer and problem is in their product. |
