Tested on a dual-1.8GHz G5. Following advice given in the docs resulted in a fairly high quality transcode from DVD to AVI. I asked for a 700MB target size and got 699.3MB; close enough.
Used the 2-pass VBR and it took a little over an hour to process through 104 minutes of movie.
Relatively user-friendly and responsive to mouseclicks even during processing (like when I decided to cancel because I had chosen the wrong settings).
The AVI, when moved to my PC, played perfectly; no audio sync issues. |
