Nice interface, smooth playback, lots of features. Far less of a resource hog than Windows Media Player. Unfortunately, DVD playback is disabled in the free version.
Regarding the previous comment -
Core Media Player is free - unless you want DVD playback, in which case you have to pony up $10.
Media Player Classic is a better choice if you want to watch Real media video or DVD's.
BS Player is okay but kind of buggy - Core Media Player is better.
As for VideoLAN, that is the slowest, buggiest, sorriest excuse for a media player I've ever come across. Avoid it like the plague. |
