Holy Cow! I'm from the old school VCD group and I certainly used to be hypercritical of any work. Lately I have to admit to getting lazier and just using DVD Shrink or DVD FAB. Shrink if it didn't require too much shrinking or could be easily reauthored, FAB otherwise. Well, I just used Rebuilder on LOTR-ROTK yesterday 3 hrs 20 min of torture test. I would never ever consider trying to put it on one disk with DVD Shrink. Using ReBuilder and CCE it was every bit as good as a very modest shrink using DVD Shrink. Not archive quality, but VERY, VERY good. It's beta ware and does require a bit of user knowledge (but not much), and on a 1.8Ghz it does take about 5 hours for such a long movie, but the results are fantastic. I won't use it on everything, but I will definitely be adding it to the other 2 programs mentioned. |
