I changed from Windows 10 to Windows 11. PC with 2 displays (PC monitor + TV; NVidia Geforce 4060, latest driver; Windows 11 25H2 with latest updates). My workfloww ist the same since many many years: Open MPC-HC on PC monitor in window mode (save window size and window position checked in MPC-HC options) > double-click into running video > full screen video on TV > double-click into running video > window mode on PC monitor. So far so good. BUT: Since Windows 11 double-click into video on TV causes the window to collapse to half its size on PC monitor. If you double-click again for full screen on TV an again for window mode on PC monitor, the window collapses again in half of the half size you had before. You can do so again an again, every double-click in full screen mode causes a new reduction by half of the window on PC monitor. In the end, you only have a tiny window on your PC monitor where you can no longer see the video. If you want to have your prefered size of MPC-HC window on PC you have to fix the size manually after every full screen mode on TV. I tried several earlier versions of MPC-HC it's all the same bug. I also tried a lot of different settings together or without the "zoom" option in MPC-HC - always the same bug. Also the same if you install MPC-HC on a new clear Windows 11. It seems that the options "save window size and save window position" in MPC-HC don't work on windows 11 with 2 monitors and full screen video on the second monitor. |
