Rating #s are strictly from (very) past memory. I think the 2017 comments here by wsc4 and the ultra-brief comment adjacent to that are generally correct. Back when it was freeware, this program was once held in a much higher regard. I recall that a couple of very good computer consultants I knew really liked it. My own use of the program was more limited and sporadic. I don't know if the older versions would still work post Win-8, but you could try Compatibility Mode for that, if necessary.
Since for whatever reason the older, formerly free versions apparently cannot be linked here, this was the closest to v. 5.40 that I could find, without extensive searching. And that is typically a very reliable source. Run the download by VirusTotal, if you have any concerns.
