For someone in Australia this software costs upwards of A$280 for the lifetime license. Why would you pay annually for any software? That's just silly. But it does nothing that free software can't already do and it doesn't even work as described.
Movies continually buffer. I had a nightmare trying to sync audio on some content. Of course, 3D still does not work. I tried it back in v5 when my 14 (or 30?) day trial was supposedly in force. The trial period lasted one reboot, which occured 15 minutes after I installed it then it said my trial period had expired. Two major releases later and that is still the same.
And it's a DVDFab product, so you know it's loaded with telemetry, tracking, malware and bugs.
I'd much rather make a donation to someone who is focused on functionality than on spying on their customers and nagging them with endless update popups. VLC, MPC, PotPlayer are viable alterantives to this garbage.
I don't stream so any streaming functionality is meaningless to me. But this is supposed to be a "player". They already have a streaming product don't they called "Streamfab"? |
