Converted my 25 minute DVD Video_TS folder with 2 VOB files to .mp4 perfectly first time in a few minutes without having to change any of the default settings.
Very rarely to jobs go so easily when working with free software. - Thank you Handbrake developers.
I gave "ease of use" full marks because I didn't have to change any recommended settings. All buttons have 'mouse hover' quick descriptions and options are well laid out in tabs etc.
I gave "functionality" full marks because there are plenty of buttons to tweak things if you need to. I have no experience of other similar video software to compare it to, but it looks like there's plenty more than minimal here (especially for something that's free).
Value for money - can't get anything other than full marks. Doesn't look like there's any restrictions or attempts to get money either. Pure free :-)
Overall - For me it did in about 20 minutes (of installing and using) what I expected to take several nights of struggling with other free software. (For my particular job it wasn't worth parting with money for - it was either get it done for free or don't bother). |
