Okay, I tested this. Image output was exceptional, I have to agree, but audio using H264 with aac profile not so great. A lot of the audio higher frequencies are cut off too much and tinny sound for the first 12 seconds of a video start. There's also no way to copy a source audio. The mkv profile has ogg as its audio output, but who bothers with that these days?
Software doesn't get much easier than this and many will be satisfied with its many profiles. I'd just use it for a video output only as it uses some smart bitrate 1 pass abr mode/wide search giving a nice quality result. Process the audio separately using ezcd or suchlike. Dated now, but useful still. |
