This is STILL free after nearly 10 years. There is no trial version vs full version, just the beta version still. Someday the software will move from beta to production but most probably NOT. I've owned this software after using it for 5 years with only very few issues, one issue with closed captions and a few DVDS won't copy correctly(about 1-2% of them). I felt I wanted to support MakeMKV for their great work so I bought it.
This is a great DVD/Blueray ripper. It will rip your dvd or blueray but don't confuse it with re-encoding. Used with Handbrake (also free) for re-encoding and you have everything you need. For the few DVDs that I've had issues with closed captions using Handbrake with the libdvdcss have worked fine. |
