A newbie experience: Great software. Not sure if either DVDShrink 3.1 or DVDDecrypter 3.1.9.0 had a virus or something, though... I installed these two together (and nothing else since), and then when I tried to browse to www.google.com.au the next day it gave me a pretty "404" page saying something like I probably have a Qhosts virus as other customers had complained and this was usually the cause for some DNS interception type reason. PCCILLIN doesn't pick up any virus though, but when I restore from a recent disk backup with old DVDSHRINK/DVDDecrypter versions, it works fine. Confusing... may have picked up something from another place, but don't think so as I disable all scripting in the browser and also say no to activeX controls :) Sort of point's the finger, doesn't it. I'll pose the question in the forums. |
