Lacks a bit of user guidance and can be improved, but become fast and quite clever in a few row.
Very efficient for a first pass mostly clean subtitles rip.

Notice that on windows 7, the matrix is saved in Document and Settings/user/appdata/roaming/suprip/ and so can be removed or modified there.

Hello!

I have a problem with this program. If I mistype something, how can I fix the charactermatrix to replace that one letter? I use SubRip 1.16, and I like it, but I made one mistake, and I cant fix it :(

Do you know where it stores the data of the new characters?

Thanks in advance!

Good software.
But it will be very nice if developers recompile it for .NET 4.0

Here's some feedback to the developer:

Please auto continue when a subpicture is done (now you have to press enter one more time) - this would save alot of time.

Italic-handling needs bug fixing; first letter/OCR always become the current setting, and not the one set by the user.

The current image-part to OCR is sometimes set to italic, even though the text is not.

In the current image-part to be OCR'd, it would be smoother if the character(s) being OCR'd is in the same relative size as the image text row. Now a small z can be confused for a big Z, since they're zoomed in.

In the SRT tab, please have an option to set "Whole words in italic", which converts any single letters in a word to italic, if the rest of the word is.

Also, please make the current image-part yellow frame in the main OCR image twice as thick as it is today, sometimes hard to see where you are.

If you use Alt+i to checkmark Italic, the cursor should remain in the character input field.

Please support single word italics (only whole rows now?).

SRT files becomes encoded in UCS-2 Little Endian. Please output in UTF-8 (or ANSI) instead.

Is the character matrix saved (ie, learnt image-to-character information)?

Nothing wrong with this tool at all, all Swedish...etc characters are there.
it works much better then subrip, it doesn't split the % character for instance.
You can set (most times you don't need it):
Space Width, Character Split Tolerance, Character Similarity Tolerance.
I couldn't believe my eyes how efficient and precise SUPRIP is.
A must have tool for Blue-Ray Rippers. Million thanks to the developer and videohelp...10 points out of 10!

Once I got hold of how it works it was very easy to use.
It would be nice if basic using instructions was included in the download.
Recognition of swedish characters å,ä,ö,Å,Ä,Ö would be very much
appreciated.
