This is a must have tool. I also came into it without knowing anything about DVD menus and it helped me a lot. If you don't have time messing with Photoshop and you wanna some really cool menus in no time, use this program. It has self telling, intuitive interface and there's really no need for any wizard and templates.
Of course you should check help in order to get the idea how to get best of it.
It also has helped me a lot with some presentations (Power Point).
P.S. I'm not a member of DVD menu studio development team. I'm just satisfied user.

I don't like this tool. I came into using it without knowing anything really about DVD menus and how to create them. This tool hasn't helped me out a whole lot there.

It would help a lot if it at least had a wizard style interface which constructs a basic "template" which I could then modify and take apart to see how things are put together.

The documentation doesn't go into enough detail and leaves a lot to the imagination. The interface is clean and easy to use, however.
