I bought the DVD in Italy. Panasonic A350. Press the following keys on the remote: Setup 4 >= 10 8 8 7 3 Press: 5001 (for ntsc output) or 5002 (for pal output) Select Select At this point you should get this message: OUTPUT:INITIALIZED Additional notes: - The first time I have tryed the hack the DVD I used the sequence for the pal output (pressing 5002 from the hidden menu) and the hack worked fine. But, some DVD I had, still continued not to work (only some english titles. Italian ones were fine). Since I had a TV able to read ntsc signal (almost all the modern TV do) I have tryed the hack using the 5001 (ntsc) sequence. With this sequence I am able to play all the DVD I have both Italian and American with no limitation. Enjoy. | |||

For Yamaha DVD S-795 : Suddenly, my dvd refused to play my dvd`s, no matter the region of the disc! None of the codes that I read on the internet worked for me, including those posted on this site. The one and only method was to get the dvd player back to factory settings as it is described in the owner`s manual : "Reset all the settings to Factory Preset. While the player is in the stop mode, hold the player’s SKIP (H) button and the PAUSE button down simultaneously and then hold the OPEN/CLOSE button down for longer than 3 seconds (until “Initialized” disappears from the TV monitor). The lock will be released and all initial settings will return to the default values." | |||
