    Hi guys
Does virtual dub mod include all the feature of virtual dub?

    1. I want to add subtitle into the video, but i dont know how to do it in virtual dub mod (the guide i read is in virtual dub).

    2. Is there new vcd (Svcd something) can help put subtitles into the movie (*.srt, ssa) without use external program like virtual dub?
I mean normally we have to add permanent subtitle into the movie, is it true that there is a new type of vcd so that we just put the subtitle file next to the movie and it will display on vcd player?

    3. Can virtual dub mod (or virtual dub) rip movie from vob file?
    4. Can it rip music out of video file?

    5. I have the s-video output in my laptop. However i played the movie in my laptop, and my tv only display the laptop screen (the windows media player), but there is no movie.
Also, can i somehow make it input? I want to record the movie from my camera using s-video port.

Thx a lot for your support.

    2. no. svcd supports switchable subtitles but standard vcd players doesn't support svcd.
    3. yes.
    4. yes, stream->stream list and select the audio track you want and save wav or demux.
    5. Set the s-video output to the primary monitor. With ati or nvidia cards you can also enable cinema mode or similiar settings. You can't make it input.

3: A better way would be vob2mpg which (hardly surprising) extracts audio+video from a (set of) VOB(s) to regular mpg.
