These comments are about AnyDVD HD.
This is one of the few tools currently available (as at June 2008) which claim HD (Blu-ray & HD-DVD) decryption capability; and is also one of the tools which actually does what it claims. Where DVDFabHD failed to even 'see' my HD drive (LG GGC-H20L), AnyDVD HD had no such problem and successfully decrypted Blu-ray and HD-DVD discs to my HDD.
HD decryption functionality is effectively limited to 'entire disc' decryption. Considering the cost of purchasing the HD version of AnyDVD, it's not unreasonable to expect a bit more flexibility such as a 'movie only' option.
Price cannot be described as being any less than exorbitant when HD decryption functionality is so limited. But as I was over a barrel, I had no choice but to purchase this tool (I purchase ALL the software that I use). |
