I have been using this tool ever since Gordian Knot ceased updating, and I've come to love it's simplicity. I was quite use to Gordian Knot's many steps that had to be performed to convert a single video, but when I moved over to this tool, the change was unbelievable.
There are only three steps that have to be performed, open video, set size, and save video. I've yet to see any other tool that offers this simplicity. Most others require certain settings, whereas AutoGK calculatesdoes most things for you (e.g. autocrop, extracting and wrapping sutitles). And while other tools do offer great flexibility, I find that they take a good 5-10 minutes to set up a single conversion. Whereas I can set the conversion in AutoGK in about 10-30 seconds.
I admit that I do miss the ability to create .ogm files with chapters or text subtitles included in the file, and would love to see a tool that combines that feature with AutoGK simplicity, but nothing exists yet.
Overall a great tool and would highly recommend that you try out this tool at least once |
