This is a phenomenal tool -- it's the only FREE tool I've found that will allow for perfect DVD-compliant MPEG-2 encoding/conversion. I use this to do my encoding prior to using Roxio Easy Media Creator 8 to create an iso image, and the encoding times are MUCH faster than what I was seeing using Media Creator 8 to do the encoding (like on the order of 1 hour or less to do 5 23-minute TV episodes, compared to 5 hours to do the encoding using Easy Media Creator 8). The quality of the encoded video seems just fine to me -- VERY good quality, in fact. This should be considered a MUST-HAVE for everyone's video editing toolbox. |
