I bought Studio v9 under a year ago and have had few problems up until I installed the latest software update from Pinnacle. Ever since then, I have been unable to render my project to DVD without the software freezing at a specific point in the project timeline. I contacted Pinnacle support and they said that this is a known bug and they advised me to defragment my hard drive. This did not work so they then advised me to edit out a few seconds of my movie around the time that the rendering failed. I did this and it worked, but then the project failed at a different point in the timeline. Since I did not feel that taking parts of my movie out was an acceptable option, I then tried to recapture the video and restarted my project from scratch, but this also did not work. I asked Pinnacle if they had a fix for this in any upcoming updates and they said no. I do not understand why they would let a known bug like this exist. This software is useless to me now since I bought it to make DVDs and it no longer can do that.
I would not advise anyone to purchase this product since Pinnacle has no intention of supporting it. |
