This capture software rocks! I have a ADVC-300, and even it has dropped frames with all other capture software. But with WinDV it never drops frames, even while I play processor intensive 3D games, surf the web, or encode MPEG2 files. Open task manager and look at the WinDV process. The software seems to use about 16MB buffer and only takes about 6-10% CPU time on my AMD64 3200+.
I subtracted one point for functionality because the DV automation checkbox is not labeled. Also you can't preview audio while capturing. This is great software from a programmer in the Czech Republic! |
