Most video editors are not lossless - when you cut out a section they re-encode everything (Corel VideoStudio and Camtasia do this). This can lead to the copy of a copy of a copy issue of increased degradation. I was hoping that this would avoid that and it seemed to do a good job of that. Unfortunately it doesn't do clean cuts at the spot where I cut them. Example: If I cut a video at 3:00.15 (3 minutes, 0 seconds, 15th frame) the exported video would be cut at 2:58.15. This resulted in 2 seconds of what I was trying to cut still being there. I zoomed in on the timeline to get the cut exactly where I wanted it, and on the zoomed in timeline it was cut in the proper place, but the exported video showed that it did not cut where I requested. It happened multiple times in multiple files I tried editing. For me this is a deal breaker so I uninstalled it. |
