XH265 is not usually a problem to play via my tv's 4k Ulta HD usb port, but a specific setting or setting e.g profile level? of some H265 mkv media files failed to be recognised during playback. I even tried remuxing using 32 bit mkv to my annoyance.
Reluctantly I decided recode to H264. However nothing could convert it: Wondershare, Handbrake, even the freeware AviDemux crashed. In the end I downloaded this Super simple Video Converter and it did a perfect job without any problems. I found out it also works in any platform of Windows from Xp onwards. Really useful tool. Saved my bacon! |
