Been using Windows XMedia Recode (portable x64) on Linux (under Wine emulator) for years successfully, until now. Appears that v3.5.7.1 fails to start in Linux under Wine. Last version to successfully start and run was 3.5.6.7. Tried it on Wine versions 4, 5, & 6, but 3.5.7.1 fails. Comparing the portable files, appears that latest version has different file structure so may be reason it fails to start on Linux (Wine). Will do more testing, but doesn't look good for Linux fans. |
