Experience over the years has told me that less is best: interlace leave it well alone as doing so on true sources will usually harm quality! If you must this program has a deinterlace option, but best leave it for your hardware to do it and not do anything other than preserving it. Regarding ivtc or pulldown(NTSC DVD's)use something else like Fairuse Wizard(suggests best course of action in its gui!) or Handbrake which both have good options to do it well and decomb for artifacts.
The lack of a 'Cropping out black bars option' is really no an issue too as your TV will put the back in, so leaving them is not an issue and encoding them in is virtually zero bitrate. Good converter despite a lack of minor features. Happy encoding! |
